The campaign team of New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, says it remains resolute despite the decision of its former campaign manager, Hon. Ofosu Asamoah, to part ways with the team and pursue a different political direction within the party.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the campaign described the development as “unfortunate” but “neither unexpected nor disruptive,” insisting that the movement is grounded in broad grassroots conviction rather than individual allegiance.
“Such defections are a feature of politics, sometimes even at the highest levels,” the statement noted. “The KAA campaign is built not on the shifting allegiance of a few individuals, but on the unwavering conviction of a broad and dedicated coalition of willing patriots.”
The team thanked Hon. Ofosu Asamoah for his past contributions and wished him well, but maintained that its mission remains intact.
Reassuring delegates and supporters, the campaign emphasized that the contest is about a “fundamental cause” — restoring the NPP’s core values of genuine service, sacrifice, and selflessness.
The statement highlighted what it described as a decade of political adversity endured by Ing. Agyepong, saying he had remained loyal to the party despite being “ostracized and maligned.”
According to the campaign, its strength lies in its message rather than financial muscle. It argued that the “unbridled monetization of politics” had contributed to the NPP’s recent electoral setbacks and stressed its commitment to promoting “substance, integrity, and a clear vision” for the party’s future.
“Our message of hope, unity, and a return to our noble roots is resonating powerfully with delegates across the country,” the statement said.
The campaign further noted that its outreach to delegates continues “unabated,” buoyed by strong grassroots support and positive momentum ahead of the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
It urged supporters to remain calm, focused, and committed to the cause.
“Let us continue to work hard together, united in purpose, to deliver a victory that will set our party and our nation on the path to true prosperity,” the statement concluded.
It was signed by Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, Campaign Spokesperson, on behalf of the KAA team.
