Former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has cautioned that the Black Stars technical handlers must assemble a strong team for the 2026 World Cup.
The West African country will make their fifth appearance at the global showpiece, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, after emerging as Group I champions with 25 points.
Having exited at the group phase in Qatar in 2022, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe has urged the technical team led by Otto Addo to parade a strong squad for the tournament to be able to compete with the best teams.
“We should look for the best all over the world because it’s a World Cup and not just any ordinary tournament," he told Graphic Sports.
"Look at the class of footballers in Europe and Latin Americaâwe need quality that can match them,” Dr Nyaho Tamakloe added.
Meanwhile, the country will discover its group phase opponents on December 5 in Washington, DC.
