FC Samartex have expressed deep sorrow following the tragic death of young footballer Ignatius Bosompem, who passed away during a Western Region Division Two League match involving Young Madrid FC and Naa Joe Royals.
The club issued an official statement on Sunday, extending its condolences to Young Madrid FC and the family of the deceased player.
According to the statement, Bosompem collapsed while the match was ongoing and was rushed to the Samartex Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
