Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has eased concerns over the fitness of Mohammed Kudus and Djed Spence after the pair missed training ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen.
Kudus, a summer signing, has been Spurs’ most dangerous attacking player this season, and his potential absence would be a setback for Frank’s side, who are looking to bounce back from a 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea at the weekend.
Providing an update at his pre-match press conference, Frank told reporters: "Djed and Mo both have knocks and could still be available for tomorrow."
Kudus, who was due to appear alongside his manager, was replaced by goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
Destiny Udogie, who returned from injury against Chelsea, is expected to start at left-back, while Spence remains a doubt. Wilson Odobert and Brennan Johnson could step in if Kudus is not deemed fit.
Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall will miss out after suffering a concussion against Chelsea. Frank confirmed the young midfielder will be sidelined until after the international break due to medical protocols.
