
Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member Eugene Nobel has officially welcomed regional teams to the maiden U-15 Elite Girls Championship at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on Tuesday, Nobel encouraged the young footballers to seize the opportunity to display their abilities and reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to the growth of women’s football.
“On behalf of President Kurt Okraku, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to this historic maiden U-15 girls’ championship,” he said. “This marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s women’s football, showcasing immense talent and potential. The GFA is committed to providing a platform for talented individuals to shine, learn, and grow.”
He expressed appreciation to GFA President Kurt Okraku for his leadership and support, describing his vision as instrumental in making the tournament possible.
“To our young footballers, seize this opportunity to showcase your skills, make memories, and forge careers. This championship is about talent identification, skill development, and representing your regions with pride,” Nobel added.
The tournament runs from October 14 to 19, 2025, at Prampram.
