Emmanuel Mamah admitted it was a tough battle after his two goals powered FC Samartex 1996 to a 2-1 win over Eleven Wonders at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon.
“It was a difficult game, not easy at all. If look at the latter part of the game there was pressure on us: we are working on our game. I didn’t know I will score two goals today but I knew I will score. I’m very happy and optimistic that things will get better for us," he told Samartex TV.
The in-form forward’s brace helped the Timber Giants continue their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, stretching their incredible home record to 13 matches without defeat.
Mamah opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a composed finish before adding his second early in the second half after a fine team move.
Despite a late consolation from Eden Kofi Asamoah, Samartex held firm to claim another valuable three points. Mamah’s display earned him the Man of the Match award as the club’s strong form continued.
