Samartex head coach Christopher Ennin has reminded his players to stay grounded despite their strong start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
“We still need to push. We should be too excited after the two consecutive wins. We have now played five games, we have drawn three and we have won two. We still have more work to do,” Ennin told Samartex TV after the match.
His comments came after FC Samartex 1996 secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Eleven Wonders at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi on Sunday.
Emmanuel Mamah’s brace helped the Timber Giants continue their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, stretching their incredible home record to 13 matches without defeat.
Mamah opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a composed finish before adding his second early in the second half after a fine team move.
Despite a late consolation from Eden Kofi Asamoah, Samartex held firm to claim another valuable three points. Mamah’s display earned him the Man of the Match award as the club’s strong form continued.
