Semper Fi’s wait for a first home victory of the season continues after they were held to a goalless draw by Nania FC on Saturday at the Teshie McDan Complex.
Despite a strong display and dominant spells, Moses Adjin-Tettey’s men could not convert their chances, leaving them frustrated at full-time. The Semper Fi coach had promised a more tactical approach ahead of the clash, insisting his team was “doing something different this time to win the game.” His side showed intent and energy but were denied by wasteful finishing and a stubborn Nania defence.
The hosts went into the match on the back of a draw against True Democracy and an impressive away win over Accra Lions, hoping to continue their unbeaten run with a home victory. However, despite controlling possession and creating better chances, they were unable to break down a compact Nania side that arrived confident after their first win of the campaign against Attram De Visser Academy.
It was a disappointing outcome for Semper Fi, who remain unbeaten but are still chasing their first win at the Teshie McDan Complex this season.
Coach Adjin-Tettey and his players will look to turn dominance into goals when they next return home to face Golden Kick in what will be another opportunity to delight their supporters.
