Ghana coach Otto Addo insists he is not thinking about personal milestones as the Black Stars prepare to face Comoros in their final 2026 World Cup qualifier.
“I’m not thinking about records. It’s always about teamwork. Full focus to win and that is what I’m thinking about. The last match the players did very well and we are hoping to execute our plan in the Comoros game very well. That is the focus. We will do everything to secure the qualification on Sunday,” Otto Addo said at the pre-match press conference.
Addo, who guided Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after a dramatic playoff draw with Nigeria, is now on the brink of leading the nation to another global tournament.
The Black Stars go into Sunday’s clash full of confidence after thrashing the Central African Republic 5-0 in Morocco. The result placed Ghana top of Group I with 22 points, three ahead of Madagascar.
The decisive match takes place at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025.
