Otto Addo remains optimistic as Ghana prepare to face Comoros in their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
“I don’t think previous results will affect us too much. We can’t win every game. We know how strong they are. The first match I wasn’t there so maybe we underrated them a bit. I hope we can beat them with a big scoreline but it will be difficult,” Otto Addo said at the pre-match press conference.
Ghana head into the game on a high after their emphatic 5-0 win over the Central African Republic at the Stade d'Honneur in Meknes, Morocco. The result boosted the Black Stars’ hopes of returning to the World Cup stage in 2026.
The team currently sit top of Group I with 22 points, three ahead of second-placed Madagascar. A victory over Comoros will seal Ghana’s qualification and mark a perfect finish to their impressive qualifying campaign.
