Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has displayed deep loyalty to controversial Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros.
The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper was spotted in a new haircut dedicated to the SM boss as he prepares for Sunday night's encounter.
In a video shared on social media, Asare carved the famous Shatta hand gesture and also had 'SM 4 Lyf' written at the side of his head with his dread locks perfectly braided.
Asare is known for his support for Shatta Wale, hitting the movement's signs during and after games with the Black Stars and Hearts of Oak.
Although a meeting between the goalkeeper and the singer is yet to surface, Asare disclosed he is inspired by songs from Shatta Wale and listens to his music before games to calm his nerves.
Shatta Wale has won several awards both domestically and internationally and was recently in the news for his sparkling performance at Sarkodie's Rapperholic Homecoming Concert in Kumasi.
Asare, who has gained prominence for his goalkeeping heroics and incredible clean sheets run in the national team, will be expected to start the game against Comoros in Accra on Sunday.
