Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has sent a heartfelt message to the club’s supporters after their thrilling 2-1 victory over Dreams FC at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Friday evening.
The win, sealed by a dramatic 92nd-minute own goal, lifted the Mauves and Yellows to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
Medeama started brightly, taking the lead in the 19th minute through Abdul Salam, who finished off a fine team move. Dreams FC, however, drew level just before halftime when defender Christian Owusu scored from a set piece.
The game appeared destined to end in a draw until Medeama’s relentless late pressure forced a defensive mistake that turned the tide in their favor.
After the match, Tanko praised the fans for their unwavering support and urged them to keep the momentum going as the team prepares for their next clash.
"Yeah, of course. I mean and I always said and if we are here they always come to support us and the players are taking it very serious and so we hope that next week Saturday they will come against Samartex so that we all will enjoy the game," he shared.
