Mohammed Salisu says he is enjoying his partnership with Alexander Djiku in the heart of Ghana's defender.
The pair have formed a formidable relationship and have thrived as the Black Stars recovered from a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers to be on the brink of reaching the World Cup in North America.
Both players have not only been solid defensively, they have also become a threat from set-pieces, scoring two goals each in the qualifiers.
"I enjoy playing alongside Alexander Djiku in the defence of the Black Stars. Our relationship is a good one," he told GH One TV after the game on Wednesday.
The duo are expected to pair once again in defence as Ghana rounds up their qualifiers with a game against Comoros on Sunday.
“I think the first half they were more careful. They tried to stay back,” he said when asked about the 5-0 victory. “The second half I think they came out more and we had a lot of space in behind them so we tried to play the ball in behind.
“The boys did very good because when they pressed we tried to play the pass in between the lines. I think it was a good game for us."
