Midfielder Prince Owusu has won the Player of the Month for September at Medeama SC.
The 21-year-old, who made his senior Ghana debut in the World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on Wednesday in Meknes, beat competition from goalkeeper Felix Kyei and forward Kelvin Nkrumah to win the award.
Owusu played a key role in Medeama's brilliant start to the season, starring in the victories against Young Apostle and Vision FC.
His performances grabbed the attention of Black Stars coach Otto Addo, who invited him to the senior national team for October's World Cup qualifiers.
He made a cameo as Ghana thumped the Central African Republic 5-0 in Morocco and he is expected to feature in Sunday's match against Comoros in Accra.
Meanwhile, Medeama SC will miss his services for their game on Friday against Nations FC.
Prince Owusu has been named the Player of the Month for September.
