
Ghana defender Alexander Djiku is eyeing a strong finish to the Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Sunday when the team takes on Comoros.
The centre-back was in action for the Black Stars on Wednesday, scoring to help the team secure a massive 5-0 victory against Central African Republic in Round 9 of the qualification campaign.
In a post on social media after the game, Djiku praised his teammates for the triumph, describing their performance as a solid one.
Aware that there is a last match to play in the qualifiers, the defender has rallied his Black Stars teammates to finish strongly in the upcoming home match.

Ghana’s last game in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Comoros will be played on Sunday, October 12.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm at Accra Sports Stadium. The Black Stars currently lead Group I with 22 points and need just a draw to seal qualification to next year's World Cup.
