
Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has reacted to his first goal for the national team.
The Atalanta forward opened his goal-scoring account for the Ghana national team on Wednesday, helping the team to secure a massive 5-0 win against Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The talented attacker, who made his debut for the Black Stars on October 9, 2020, came off the bench in the 76th minute and struck in the 87th, capping off the team’s dominant display.
Speaking at the end of the match, Kamaldeen Sulemana expressed his excitement, indicating that finally scoring his first goal for the Black Stars meant a lot to him.
“I really appreciate the support from Ghanaians. This is my first goal, and it means a lot to me. There’s more to come,” Sulemana said.
Ghana’s huge 5-0 win against Central African Republic means the Black Stars maintain their top spot in Group I with 22 points, heading into their last match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Comoros on Sunday, October 12.
As things stand in the group, Ghana is on the verge of booking a place at next year’s World Cup to be hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the USA.
