A fifth appearance at the World Cup awaits Ghana but the Black Stars' dream of making it to the tournament in North America will crucially be decided by the outcome of the game against the Central African Republic on Wednesday in Morocco.
The four-time African champions sit top of Group I after eight games with a three points advantage. Madagascar, who play Comoros later today, will have a say in the Black Stars' qualification as they and their opponents have a slim chance of also making it to the World Cup.
Ghana's main goal is to beat the Central African Republic and hope the result in the other game favours them.
However, anything other than a win in Meknes means Ghana will have to wait till Sunday, when they host Comoros, to confirm their fate. An outcome Ghanaians are not ready to welcome.
This will put pressure on the team before their trip to Accra to engage the Islanders, who have become a torn in the flesh of the West Africans.
The entire nation is beaming with hope with one huge hurdle to jump.
The World Cup in North America means a lot to Ghanaians following a disastrous African Cup of Nations failure and coach Otto Addo, alongside his charges, have the task on putting smiles back on the faces of 33 million people by securing another appearance in USA, Mexico and Canada.
