Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku visited the Black Stars in Meknes on Tuesday to offer his support and encouragement ahead of Wednesday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic (CAR).
Okraku, who travelled directly to Morocco after attending the 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Kinshasa, was accompanied by GFA Vice President Mark Addo and Chief of Staff Michael Osekre.
The GFA boss interacted with the players and technical team during the visit, commending their hard work and focus in camp. His presence, coming on the eve of a decisive fixture, was seen as a morale booster for the squad as they seek to secure qualification to the 2026 World Cup.
The Black Stars trained at the Stade D’Honneur de Meknes later in the evening, their final session before the Group I encounter on Wednesday. Ghana currently lead the group and need a positive result to maintain their path toward a fifth World Cup appearance.
