The assistant coach of Bibiani Gold Stars, Nana Yaw Amankwah, has indicated that his team’s confidence is high ahead of their clash against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League in midweek.
The defending league champions will go into the outstanding Week 2 encounter on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory against Swedru All Blacks on Sunday.
According to coach Nana Yaw Amankwah, the triumph has boosted his team’s morale ahead of the clash against Asante Kotoko.
“The team started preparations even before the game against All Blacks. We have continued with preparations, and today we are on top. Kotoko is a big team. We faced them last time in the Champion of Champions, and they beat us. They are a good side, and they are there.
“The last game we won 1-0. I think that is the morale booster. Still, there is room for improvement, and we have done that. When we play against Kotoko, there will be a lot of improvement,” Nana Yaw Amankwah said.
The outstanding Week 2 encounter between Asante Kotoko and Gold Stars is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
