Former Ghana midfielder Yussif Chibsah has urged the Black Stars to secure qualification to the 2026 World Cup tournament at all costs.
The Black Stars head into the final round of the qualifying series on top of Group I, needing four points to book a spot at the mundial.
Ghana will take on Central African Republic on Thursday, October 8, 2025 before hosting Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12.
Ahead of the final two games, the former Asante Kotoko star has implored the team to do everything possible to secure World Cup qualification.
“We are leading our group heading into the final round of the qualifiers, so we just have to do whatever it takes for us to qualify for the World Cup. For me, we just have to qualify for the World Cup” he told Kessben FM in an interview.
The Black Stars have already arrived in Meknes ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.
The team had been based in Casablanca since Sunday, preparing for the crucial fixture, before moving to the match venue after all 24 invited players joined the squad.
While in Casablanca, Ghana held two training sessions at the Mohammed V Sports Complex. The team is scheduled to train at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, October 7, ahead of Wednesday’s match.
