The head coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Nii Odartey Lamptey, was full of praise for his players on Sunday after their defeat to Young Apostles in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The Week 4 defeat meant Eleven Wonders have suffered three consecutive losses in the division, since their opening weekend draw against Basake Holy Stars.
According to Odartey Lamptey, although Eleven Wonders have lost three games this season, he has been impressed with the performance of his players.
“We have lost three games now, but when it comes to performance, the boys are really picking up,” the coach said.
Assessing the defeat to Young Apostles, Odartey Lamptey raised concerns about his team’s disallowed goal on the matchday, arguing that it should have stood.
“I think the boys did well, they played very well, tactically they were disciplined, and you could see. You could see we played the game, but it’s the three points that matter. The goal that they scored was a question mark; we scored a clear goal, and the referee disallowed it. Sometimes these things do hurt the coaches and the players as well,” the coach lamented in his post-match interview.
Coach Odartey Lamptey and his players will now hope for their first win of the Ghana Premier League season next weekend when they take on Vision FC on the road.
