The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is beginning to take shape, and after matchday three, seven clubs remain unbeaten. Heart of Lions have been the standout performers so far, winning all three of their opening fixtures. They have scored six goals, conceded just once, and sit top of the table with a perfect record.
Basake Holy Stars, Asante Kotoko (played two games less due to their participation in the CAF Champions League), Hearts of Oak, Karela United, Gold Stars (played two games less due to their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup), and FC Samartex also remain unbeaten, though some have drawn their opening matches.
Across the 24 games played so far, home teams have been dominant, winning 13 matches. Away victories have been scarce, with just four recorded, while seven games have ended in draws.
In total, 40 goals have been scored, 26 by home sides and 14 by away teams. Discipline has also featured prominently, with referees issuing 81 yellow cards and two red cards in the first three rounds.
On the individual front, Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare leads the clean sheets chart with three in three games, while Young Apostles forward Richmond Opoku tops the scorers’ list with three goals in as many matches.
