Nico Williams reportedly agrees to join Premier League powerhouse Arsenal
Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly set to secure the services of Spanish international of Ghanaian descent Nico Williams ahead of the summer transfer window.The Gunners are keen on strengthening their attack for the new season and has reportedly settled on Williams, who has been on their radar for several months.According to Spanish outlet TodoFichajes, Williams has given his agent the green light to finalise a deal with Arsenal, with Aston Villa, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United set to miss out on the forward.The talented winger opted to stay at Athletic Bilbao last summer despite interest from several top clubs including Barcelona and Arsenal.The Gunners have remained in talks to sign the Spain international after failing to land his services last summer and has now reached an agreement with Williams.The deal will reportedly see the Spanish-Ghanaian winger become the highest-paid player at Arsenal.Arsenal will trigger his 58 million release clause when the summer window opens. Williams is expected to usurp both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli to become Arsenals first choice left winger next season.The 22-year-old attacker has made 35 appearances for Athletic Bilbao this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists across competitions.
