A 19-year-old apprentice hair braider was found dead in front of an uncompleted building at Ejisu Jamasi in the Ashanti region early Saturday morning, and residents suspect a possible robbery and rape could be a factor. Sophia Ama Ibrahim went to work on Friday but did not return home.
The police have established that a total of 151 houses were burnt in Good Friday’s attack in seven communities in the Chereponi area of the Northern region. According to the Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusif Mohammed Tanko, two people were injured by gun shots during the attack.

Ghana's transit trade declined from 970,000 tonnes in 2015 to 801,000 tonnes in 2016, representing a decline of 17 per cent.
