The International Central Gospel Church (I.C.G.C.) has withdrawn Pastor Josh Laryea from the pulpit for an alleged “immoral conduct.”
Pastor Josh Laryea, who is also a gospel musician is the minister in charge of the Doxa Temple of I.C.G.C. located at Labone Junction in Accra behind the Kama Conference Centre.
A letter dated March 29, 2017 from the head office of the ICGC at Accra South Region addressed to the church council of Doxa Temple said a report of an alleged immoral conduct has been leveled against Pastor Laryea.
And as a result in line with the church’s regulations, the Presbytery has authorized the Discipline Committee to look into the allegations.
“Rev Josh Laryea is being withdrawn from the pulpit and thereby the Doxa Temple with immediate effect. This is to allow for the committee to carry out its work uninterrupted,” the letter said.
It explained further that another minister shall be assigned to manage the assembly temporarily while the process is ongoing.
The church council however, asked the members of the Doxa Temple to co-operate with the leadership of the church and the interim pastor during the transition.
Pastor Laryea is yet to comment on the development.
