Anloga Junction: One dead, 2 injured as stationary truck runs into bystanders

One person has been confirmed dead, and two others are critically injured after a stationary articulated truck unexpectedly moved and ran into individuals at Anloga Junction in Kumasi.

According to eyewitnesses, when the truck started moving on its own, those at the scene alerted bystanders to run for safety. Unfortunately, it struck some individuals who were near the roadside.

Three persons were trapped under the articulated truck, and it took fire service officers over an hour to extricate them.

During Citi News’ visit to the scene, the first two individuals, both females, were promptly transported to the hospital in separate ambulances for treatment.

The third person, however, upon being rescued, was found to be deceased. The police subsequently conveyed the body to the morgue.

Barely two weeks ago, a vehicle veered off the road and ran into shops at the same spot.
