TIME TO EAT
An on-site restaurant serves the lodge’s menus throughout the day. Food types are a mix of local Ghanaian cuisine; seafood; with vegan, vegetarian options; as well as an international, continental breakfast. Dining can take place anywhere on the grounds, particularly on the deck overlooking the ocean, or at garden terrace and in the lounge, all common areas some of the special cocktails made here, especially their locally brewed ‘akpeteshie’ varieties!
VERDICT
With its outdoor gardens, plenty common places to relax including a deck under a large tree overlooking beach where you can enjoy views of activity on the shore, terraces, there’s plenty of open space with a connection to nature.
Being here is like shifting your gears down from 4 to one! It’s an incredibly lovely place that can absolutely bring down your pressure within a few hours of getting there and settling in.
Being within proximity to historical sites of Fort Metal Cross in Dixcove and Batenstein in Butre, gives one something to do by way of visiting for leisure or education, and this adds to the experience of being here. I love the community the lounge brings as people converge, and the clean sheets on their beds.
