Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma was robbed of his luxury watch by two robbers on Sunday in Cannes, France.
Police say two robbers posed as fans wanting a selfie, managed to strip the Mali midfielder of his £260k Richard Mille luxury watch by tear-gassing him along with Pepper spray.
Bissouma was attacked upon his return to his hotel with his partner after his exit from his vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning.
French Police have opened investigations in relation to the attack to get to the bottom of the situation, to potentially find the perpetrators.
The 27-year-old has now returned to England with his partner as he is set to miss Mali’s crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana in Bamako.
Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton for £25 million plus add-ons in the summer of 2022. Last season, he made 28 appearances for the club, helping them finish fifth in the Premier League and secure qualification for the Europa League.
