
Ghanaian side Police Ladies FC put up an impressive performance on Wednesday evening, beating Benin’s Sam Nelly 3-1 in their second group game at the WAFU B qualifiers for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
After suffering a narrow 2–1 defeat to Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens in their opening fixture, Police Ladies went into today’s fixture keen on securing a positive result to keep their qualification hopes alive.
In the game played at Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro, Police Ladies FC set up strong and dominated the opponent throughout the contest.
After creating a lot of chances, the Ghanaian outfit converted three to merit all three points.
The victory was possible courtesy of goals from Grace Animah, Sarah Nyarkoh, and Deborah Afriyie.
