Finnish top-flight side Seinajoki JK (SJK) have announced the signing of Ghanaian-German striker Kevin Appiah Nyarko on a contract running until the end of the 2027 season, with an option for an additional year.
The 23-year-old centre forward, who also holds Dutch nationality, joins the Veikkausliiga outfit from Swedish side Varbergs BoIS, where he featured in the Superettan.
Nyarko began his career in Germany before moving with his family to England, where he gained experience in the lower leagues.
He later switched to Sweden, representing Gottne IF in the fourth division before stepping up to the second tier with IK Brage and subsequently Varbergs.
SJK head coach Stevie Grieve expressed delight at the acquisition, praising Nyarko’s qualities both on and off the pitch.
“Kevin has been a good scorer in Sweden, and this is a good opportunity for us. He is good in the box, makes runs behind the lines with excellent speed, and moves well when he gets into the game. He also fits our team personality-wise, so we are looking forward to the rest of the season with him,” Grieve said.
Nyarko has already started training with his new teammates and is eager to make an immediate impact.
“I have settled in quickly, and the club has great conditions with good players. My goal is to score goals, help the team finish as high as possible, and hopefully secure European football - or even win the league,” he stated.
The striker’s arrival adds firepower to SJK’s attack as they chase domestic success and a potential European qualification spot.
