Ghanaian forward Eric Ocansey joins Armenian side FC Pyunik
Ghanaian forward Eric Ocansey has officially joined Armenian top-flight club FC Pyunik, following an impressive season with league rivals Ararat-Armenia.The 27-year-old brings pace, experience, and creativity to his new side after making a big impression in the 2024/25 campaign.Ocansey featured in 35 matches last season, netting 7 goals and providing 9 assists, helping Ararat-Armenia finish as league runners-up and secure the Armenian Super Cup title. His consistent performances quickly earned him a strong reputation in the league, attracting interest from FC Pyunik, who moved swiftly to secure his services.Before arriving in Armenia, Ocansey spent most of his professional career in Belgium, where he played for Eupen, Kortrijk, Waasland-Beveren, and Lierse. He made 150 appearances in the Belgian Pro League, scoring 17 goals and assisting 10, showing his reliability and work ethic across multiple clubs.Pyunik are hoping his experience in Europe and recent success in Armenia will boost their attack as they push for domestic and continental success in the upcoming season.
