The private transport operators are alleging that their businesses are at risk if they allow STC into the terminal.
According to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo, it took the intervention of the regional security apparatus, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister and the KMA mayor to avert clashes between STC & the private transport operators.
STC after its re-branding is finding it difficult to lure passengers to its terminal in Adum, hence decided top move to Asafo terminal.
The resolve by STC to relocate to Asafo is to help them get passengers for the fleet which which is struggling to make revenues despite its reduced fares to various locations in the country.
