

The people of Dansoman will be denied Premier League football in due course as Liberty Professional is sold to new owner.
Liberty Professionals has been sold to a business mogul, who is an indigene of Kwahu in the Eastern region, according to reports.
The name of the new owner according to a report by Happy FM, one of Ghana’s reliable sports radio is Bryan Acheampong, a former player of Okwawu United.
The reports further indicate that the club will be relocated to Nkawkaw area in due course and the name of the club will be changed from Liberty Professionals to depict the people of Kwawu.

This is a big avenue for the people of Nkawkaw to taste Premier League football which has eluded them for decades after Okwawu United suffered relegation.
Liberty Professionals which was owned by the late Alhaji Sly Tetteh has been enjoying topflight football since 1999, but relegation has been staring them in the face for the past three seasons due to reasons including financial constraints
