

The former Bayern Munich declined to unveil the final three shortlists for the 2017 African Footballer of the Year, as he paved way for Ibrahim Sunday to do the honourable.
Sammy Kuffour passed up the unveiling of the 2017 African Footballer of Year final shortlist to his compatriot Ibrahim Sunday.
Osei Kuffour was selected to unveil the three players that made the cut to compete for the most prestigious individual award on the African continent, but he declined and requested from the organisers to allow Ibrahim Sunday to do it instead.

His gesture won the hearts of the people gathered at the short ceremony organised in the capital city of Ghana, Accra.
Sunday later told Ghanaweb: ''Sammy is a very intelligent boy, he showed maturity and I am impressed. He is a legend himself but in this world, every father has a father so he did the right thing and asked me to unveil the players. I thank him very much,” Sunday said with a smile on his face.''
The three players unveiled to compete for the African Fotballer of the Year were Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
