The man gave police part of a human leg and hand as proof, Enca has reported.
The four suspects appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday August 21, 2017.
The suspects are all in their thirties.
They allegedly killed a woman, cut her up and ate parts of her body.
Police are investigating suspicions the suspects also tampered with graves for humanparts.

They remain in custody until a possible bail application next Monday.
