

The sprinter confident to make her mark on the world stage alongside her 4x100 teammmates
Janet Amponsah crushed out of the IAAF Championships on the 8th of August, 2017. The female sprinter spoke to “Making of Champions” after the race and she initially gave her general assertion of the race.
Amponsah said “It was okay. It wasn’t that tough but I was not impressed with the time I run as well as the position.”
“I run my Personal Best of 22.90 at EL Paso in United States at the National Outdoor Championships. I was hoping to repeat that in the London World Championships”.

The Middle Tennessee State University sprinter spoke on how she got to school and what she is up to in school
“I went to USA in 2014 on a four year scholarship from Ghana. I am studying community and Public Health and minoring in coaching”.
She gave a breakdown of the performance of the Ghana team at the world athletics championships “Two of them contested in last Saturday and they failed to progress to the next stage and this Saturday we have a 4x 100 team.
“I run today and was 4th in my race.”

She then spoke about her hopes in the 4x100
“Definitely they should watch me out in the 4x100 race on Saturday”
Amponsah has been a silver medalist in the 2015 All African Games and 2016 African Athletics Championships with the 4x100 relay team.
This indeed justifies her confidence going to the final event on Saturday.
