The Adansi North District Chief Executive, Charles Kofi Ogbeh, has expressed concern over the poor state of some schools in the Adansi North District.
He expressed the sentiment during a visit to several primary schools, including Bobriase Anglican Basic, Fomena Methodist Primary, Dompoase Methodist Primary, and Bobriase Islamic, last Thursday to welcome new entrants and learners in basic one.
Mr Ogbeh emphasized the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and as such, the District Assembly’s advanced plans to renovate, furnish, and construct new school buildings to improve teaching and learning.
The DCE encouraged teachers to nurture learners despite challenges in the lower primary level and advised parents to ensure their wards attend school regularly.
Mr Ogbeh provided school uniforms to some learners, gifted exercise books, pencils, and snacks to all learners.
The District Education Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Amankwah, stressed the importance of building a strong foundation for young learners to achieve greater heights and therefore tasked teachers to achieve that goal.
The DCE was accompanied by staff from the District Education Directorate, the District Assembly, and some members of the National Democratic Congress party
