Nana Agyei Kokoo Takyifiri Beyeeman II, the Paramount Chief of Tuobodom Traditional area has stressed the need for peace to prevail in his jurisdiction, as a condition to attract investors to develop Techiman North Municipality of the Bono East Region.
The Tuobodom overlord identified confrontations and unhealthy coexistence among the people as a major challenge to development.

He raised concerns about clashes often sparked by unscrupulous elements who attack opponents at the least provocation.
The occasion was last week, Thursday, when the Bono East Regional minister, Mr. Francis Owusu Antwi, called on the Paramount chief at Tuobodom, as part of a familiarisation tour.
Nana Takyifiri Beyeeman noted that with the upgrade of the area to the status of Municipality, it was only peace that would enhance the rapid development of the area.
The chief said the people are peace loving but Tuobodom was often confronted with the problem of ethnic clashes that affect the image of the Traditional area.
Nana Agyei Kokoo Takyifiri Beyeeman appealed to the Regional minister to use his good office to ensure peace to prevail across the region to enhance the development of the area.
He pledged the support of the people for the government and the Regional administration in the implementation of programmes and projects in a peaceful atmosphere to fast track development.
The Paramount chief emphasised that the Traditional Council would assist in tracking all miscreants and trouble rousers whose activities impede peaceful coexistence of the people.
The chief appealed to the government, Ministers and NDC appointees to educate their supporters to respect the rule of law to ensure peace at all times.

He also appealed to the government to speed up the completion of the Agenda 111 project to serve the health needs of the people, who are predominantly farmers.
The Regional minister, Francis Owusu Antwi assured the chiefs and people of the area that President Dramani Mahama would finish any project started by his predecessor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a legacy.
He commended the Chiefs and people for their love and quest for peace assuring that the Municipal Security Council had taken steps to address disturbances and any future confrontations.
The Regional Minister also announced that approval had been given for a new 24-hour Market Complex to be started soon and hoped the chiefs and people would reciprocate efforts of the President and the government.
