Some NPP saboteurs plotting to unseat Kumasi mayor – Presiding Member asserts

New Patriotic Party executives in Ashanti Region are allegedly plotting to have Kumasi City Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi, kicked out over the allocation of shops at the newly-constructed Kejetia Market.

Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Abraham Boadi who made the allegations said some leaders of the party are unhappy the Mayor has refused to bend the rules in the distribution stores.

He alleged that the Assembly member for Dichemso and Regional NADMO Co-ordinator, Kwabena Nsenkyire, is being used to prosecute the agenda.

Mr Boadi, popularly know, as ‘Opooman’, insists the assembly will ensure the Kejetia stores are given to the rightful owners.

Meanwhile, Mr Nsenkyire, has denied knowledge of any such conspiracy he is alleged to have been leading to remove Mr Assibey Antwi. Read Full Story
