FC Samartex 1996 will look to return to winning ways when they host Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi.
The Timber Giants head into the fixture on a difficult run of form, having failed to win any of their last five matches across all competitions.
Their most recent setback came in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Hohoe United last week, a result that further slowed their momentum in the league campaign.
Despite the recent dip, Samartex remain well placed in the standings.
They currently occupy sixth position on the league table and could climb to fourth with a victory over Dreams, depending on results elsewhere.
One factor that will boost their confidence is their impressive home record this season.
The Samreboi-based side are yet to lose at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, recording eight wins and four draws from twelve league matches in front of their supporters.
Dreams, meanwhile, arrive in Samreboi enjoying a relatively positive spell in the league.
The “Still Believe” side have suffered just one defeat in their last nine matches, showing signs of consistency after an inconsistent start to the season.
However, their position on the table still leaves little room for comfort. Dreams remain locked in the relegation battle and sit just three points above the drop zone.
Another concern for Dreams will be their struggles away from home. They are yet to secure a win on the road this season after eleven away matches, a statistic they will be eager to change against one of the league’s strongest home sides.
