Liverpool are set to make a move for Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window after failing to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
The English champions have endured a difficult title defence, and have already lost five matches in eleven Premier League games in the 2025/26 campaign.
And with Mohamed Salah expected to leave next month to captain Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Reds have rekindled their interest in Semenyo.
Semenyo is seen as an ideal replacement for the Egyptian, who is having a tough campaign.
With Ghana failing to qualify for the tournament, it leaves the door open for the Merseyside outfit to negotiate with the striker without hesitating over his availability.
Although, he has inked a new long-term deal at the Vitality Stadium, the 25-year-old could leave if Liverpool make the right offer to AFC Bournemouth.
Additionally, Richard Hughes, who signed Semenyo for Bournemouth during his time as Sporting Director at the club now works with the Reds. Hughes could play a huge role in Liverpool landing the Ghana international in January.
Semenyo is enjoying an amazing start to the Premier League with six goals and three assists in 11 matches.
