The Ghana U17 team, the Black Starlets, are through to the semi-final of the WAFU Zone B U17 Cup of Nations following a dramatic victory over Niger in Abidjan.
Late goals from Mark Kagawa Mensah and Robinho Yao Gavi sealed a 3-1 victory for the Black Starlets.
Ghana had to bounce back from their defeat to Ivory Coast in their second group to keep their quest of qualifying for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations alive.
And it took only four minutes for Ghana to break the deadlock after Yao Gavi brilliantly finished off a team move, but the lead lasted for only three minutes as the Nigeriens responded.
The cagey encounter saw both sides go at each other but the defense of the two teams were resolute and equal to the task.
However, it took a special touch from Kagawa, who fired from 30 yards with ten minutes remaining to give Ghana the lead.
Late in injury time, the Black Starlets added another through Yao Gavi, who netted a brace on the night.
Ghana will await their next opponents after the final round of games in Group B.
