The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its most ambitious broadcasting deal yet, extending live coverage from the Ghana Premier League (GPL) to the Division One League (DOL) and the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Under the agreement, TV3 and Onua TV will air live matches from the GPL, giving nationwide audiences access to Ghana’s flagship competition.
For the DOL, coverage will be split across the three zones: Globe TV will handle Zone 1 games, while Metro TV and Original TV will broadcast matches from Zones 2 and 3.
Women’s football will also benefit, with Max TV set to show WPL Southern Zone matches and Globe TV carrying fixtures from the Northern Zone.
According to the GFA, the initiative is designed to expand visibility, attract sponsorships and enhance the market value of Ghana’s domestic competitions.
The new broadcasting plan, described by the Association as a “revolution,” is expected to bring unprecedented exposure to clubs and players across the country.
