Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu says the club’s main objective this season is to build consistency and secure a respectable position on the Ghana Premier League table.
The Pride and Passion narrowly avoided relegation last term, but they have enjoyed a bright start to the 2025/26 campaign, collecting four points from their opening two matches to sit third on the log.
Speaking to Graphic Sports, Amadu admitted that a mid-table finish would represent a major step forward for the club and reaffirm their place in the top flight.
“We escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth last season, and that is not a situation we want to find ourselves in again," the former FC Samartex said.
"Starting well has given us belief, but the real work is ensuring consistency, especially at home.
"If we can win the majority of our matches at Aliu Mahama, then we can fight for a respectable position on the league log,” he added.
Karela will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start when they welcome Medeama SC to the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday in a Matchday 3 fixture, scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
