Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko remains confident ahead of his side's trip to Tamale to face Karela United on matchday 3 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Fresh off marrying his long-time partner Ruweida Abubakar, Tanko cut off his honeymoon to resume club activities as he prepares his team to face Karela.
The Mauve and Yellow are off to a perfect start in the new season, winning back-to-back games including a 4-0 thumping of Vision FC.
Medeama have dominated and controlled games this season and Tanko is not ready to take off his feet off the peddle.
"Like any other game, they have a very good team and they have new players with a very good coach behind them. Like I said we go into every game with our own style. It doesn't matter if we are playing home or away. We want to control the game and definitely this is what we are going to do," he told Medeama TV.
Last season's top scorer at Medeama SC, Kingsley Braye, and new signing Salim Adams are yet to kick the ball this season, but coach Tanko will be observing the fitness of the squad before making a decision about his team for the Karela game.
"I hope everyone will stay fit. In this kind of games, you will only know on Saturday or Sunday to know the team," he added.
Medeama sit top of the table after two match days.
