Spanish La Liga Women’s side DUX Logroño have hailed the arrival of Ghanaian winger Comfort Yeboah, stressing that her âtalent and dedication will be valuable’ to the club as they look to strengthen their squad for the ongoing season.
The club announced the signing of the 20-year-old from Women’s Premier League side Ampem Darkoa Ladies, describing her as a major reinforcement who can make an immediate impact.
Yeboah becomes the second player from Ampem Darkoa to move to Logroño this month after defender Nancy Amoh also completed her switch.
She caught the eye for Ghana’s Black Queens team that clinched bronze at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations â the country’s first medal at the tournament since 2016.
In unveiling her, Logroño expressed optimism about the new signing, “Together we will work hard and fight to achieve great sporting successes.
“Your talent and dedication will bring a very valuable reinforcement to our club. We look forward to seeing you shine and celebrating many victories together.”
Logroño currently sit 12th in the 16-team league after two draws and two losses from their opening four matches and are banking on Yeboah’s arrival to help turn their fortunes around.
