The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has opened up about his team’s bright start in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Tarkwa-based club started their campaign with a 2-0 victory against Young Apostles before thumping Vision Football Club 4-0 in their second game.
With six points after two matches, Medeama SC are now leading the Ghana Premier League standings heading into Week 3.
Speaking ahead of his team’s next match against Karela United, Coach Ibrahim Tanko revealed what has worked for his team.
According to him, it is hard work rather than magic that is seeing his team playing so well at the start of the new league season.
“There is no magic, and it’s not by mistake. I think it’s a result of the hard work we did during pre-season. This is our style of play, and it’s going to continue. I hope that at the end of the season it will earn the result for us,” Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV.
The Week 3 Ghana Premier League contest between Karela United and Medeama SC will be played on Sunday, September 28, at Aliu Mahama Stadium.
