The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has made a bold claim about his squad for the 2025/26 football season.
According to him, players who sit on his team’s bench on matchdays are good enough to start for any of the other Ghana Premier League clubs.
He believes he has a good squad and hopes his players will continue to work hard to become better as the season progresses.
“We have a very good squad. Honestly, if you look at those who are sitting on the bench, they can start in any of the Premier League clubs in Ghana. All of them are doing well in training, and I hope they will continue like that,” Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV in an interview.
Ibrahim Tanko and his Medeama Sporting Club side are currently the best team in the Ghana Premier League after two games.
Having opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory against Young Apostles, the Tarkwa-based club subsequently thrashed Vision Football Club 4-0.
The Yellow and Mauves are now travelling to Tamale this weekend to face off with Karela United on Sunday, September 28.
