Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has explained why his outfit terminated contract with midfielder Seth Osei.
The Phobians mutually parted ways with the former Ashantigold midfielder, bringing an end to his stay at the capital-based club.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Phobians in January 2025 on a two-year deal leaves the club after just eight months spell at the club. Osei now becomes as a free agent and is expected to find himself a club to continue his football career.
Explaining Osei’s exit from the club, Opare Addo said, “Hearts of Oak is not at fault. The player requested for contract termination, citing personal reasons, we had no option than respect it” He said.
Osei fell down the pecking order under new coach Didi Dramani, failing to make a single appearances during the GHALCA Top4 competition.
This season, he has yet to make an appearance for the Phobians in the Ghana Premier League after two matches.
His last competitive outing for the Phobians came towards the end of last season, where he managed just eight league appearances in total.
