John Kwasi Adu, the Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars has refused to give up on qualification despite succumbing to defeat on home turf against JS Kabylie in the first-leg preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Miners faces a daunting task in Algeria following their 2-0 defeat to JS Kabylie at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite the stacked odds against Goldstars, Kwasi Adu is still bullish about the team’s chances of qualifying to the next round.
“We are equally mapping out our plans and strategies to get them [Gold Stars players] on their toes when we get to Kabylie.” He told Citi Sports in an interview.
“We are not perturbed by the results that happened the last time. It’s still football. A club has come to score 2-0 at our home, we can equally turn around the results” Akwasi Adu said.
Goldstars take on JS Kabylie in Algeria in the second leg on Sunday, September 28.
The Ghanaian champions will train at the match venue on Saturday before the highly competitive clash on Sunday.
Goldstars are currently without a substantive coach following the sacking of Frimpong Maxwell, with Nana Amankwah set to lead the team in Algeria.
